Nicholas Tomasello

Nicholas Tomasello is a Waimanalo based photographer and artist.

He grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he spent much of his childhood traveling throughout the continent, developing an insatiable curiosity for the world around and beyond him. He received his BFA in Photography and Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2001. During the years that followed his graduation, Nicholas spent time photographing his way through Europe, and for a brief time settling in Arizona where he and his lens fell in love with the beautiful sonoran landscape. In 2004, curiosity, adventure, and a small dose of fate brought him to Oahu where, one week after landing, he met his future wife. He has been there ever since.

As a photographer, Nicholas is still very much influenced by the same curiosity that he developed as a child traveling cross country, looking out the window from the back seat of his mothers Ford Taurus. In some ways, it could be said that he has traded that car window for a camera lens, chasing the excitement that he felt looking out that window to a world of endless possibilities.
